Triton Headlights Help

Post by marz2 »

Hi, wondering if anyones knows what globes the Triton 2001 models have.

I cant seem to pull it to change to brighter globes the standard ones are crap 60/55w.

I cant seem to get that clip where the wires go into the back of it off, is there a special way to get it off and remove the globe?

I jost dont want to break it trying.

Cheers Marz

Same problem as mine, they get seized on.

They are just a standard headlight fitting onto standard globes, but mine were stuck fast. After putting up with one globe which only half worked for about two months I thought bugger it I'm gonna get it out or break it and used some heavy handed force, she came out with the headlamp insert attached, from there I was able to remove the globe and re-insert the headlamp insert and she was all good again. It happened on both sides with mine.

In the past with my other 99 model triton I replaced the globes with something like 100/130 watt globes which I thought would make and improvement but I couldn't notice the difference. With this triton I thought I'd put in those 30 or 40% brighter globes at 55/60w which improved the brightness of the headlights on my crumpledore but still couldn't notice the difference on the triton.
