Post by Brad »

Hi,
Just wondering what boost people are running on the 3L series 2.8 Diesel in the hilux's when they have turbo's fitted ?

Also what is the thoughts on intercooling them ??

How long have you been running 11 PSI for ??

I am thinking of top mounting an intercooler like the patrol and adding a bonnet scoop. Does anyone have any info on teh Safari ones they use to sell ?

Brad, go to this site and email the guy. His name is Steve and he has a Hilux 3L with a turbo and top mount intercooler. He should be able to help answer your questions.

Sent and email to APS ( Safari Systems ) and they said

" Thanks for your interest in Safari products. Unfortunately the system you are interested in is no longer manufactured. Consequently, we cannot assist you, sorry."

Oh well go and have a chat to ARE :)

have alook at a merc sprinter van, turbo diesel. There intercoolers are huge. I was going to fit one to my lux they are and height of the rad support panel and the width headlight to headlight, i thought they would be hell expensive but they are only 580 bucks new.
