Body mount rubbers - How much and where from???

Post by Pezooki »

Hello all.

I am half way through fitting my body lift (thanks to just cruizin') and have come across a problem (as usual, everything on my zook seems to be worse than it should be!!! :bad-words: )

The rubber body mounts that must be re-used with the kit are stuffed. I rang Suzuki and after 40 mins of them trying to work out what I was talking about we came up with the following:

71610-83000 - Upper mount - $12.85 EACH
71620-83000 - Lower mount - $12.85 EACH
AND
71632-83011 - Another lower mount - $4.80EACH. This may be the metal cup washer, if it is then I DON'T need it, but Suzuki could not tell me what the part actually was!???

My question is - Can I get these cheaper (and more easily) from anywhere else? I thought that $180 odd seemed a bit excessive for this???

Any help is appreciated!

$180 was cheap from suzuki

in QLD suzuki wanted $240 trade for just the upper & lower mounts.
(I would like to know why such a difference in price).

After seeing this thread i rang suzistore (formally suziwest)in WA.
its a full kit all rubbers crush sleeves & cup washers $99.
(listed as chassis rubber kit)

called them in the morning thursday ordered over the phone at 2pm QLD time after they called me back to see why they hadn't received an email yet, had the kit in my hands at 10.50am on friday for $115.50 all up air freighted.

very happy with the service thanks Brian & Brett

i've looked through my wheel arch at my body mounts and they look pretty basic. cant you just replace them with pieces of rubber from Clark rubber or something similar??

No. Clark Rubber will be no help. The main body mounts contain the following parts:

On a Sierra with NO body Lift Kit installed there are many other places that the chassis makes contact with the body. These simply have a small square rubber block between the 2 surfaces. I think that is what you are looking at - not the main mounts as shown above in the pic. Once a Body Lift is installed, these contact points no longer touch- (and they are not required to).

Even if Clark Rubber did stock these parts, I am willing to bet they would charge a hell of a lot more than $99 dollars for them! :D
