didn't get to play on the crapzook much over chrissy, but I did do something 1/2 positive, made a nudge bar to try and hide some of the crap that I currently can't get rid off.

I trimmed that 2" tube (that the old bumper hang's off) back to about 50mm from the the edge of the chassis, did a drawing of the rough look I wanted, and then started laying out the nudge bar from 3mm plate (keeping in mind that it really is nothing more than a `cover', and somewhere to hang a couple of driving lights off).

I'm toying with raiding my friends `junk & spare parts' pile and trying to adapt a range rover front trailing arms/panhard bar, and a set of coil springs to the front and back to assist with the `approach/departure angle', as well as wheel articulation etc.
Obviously that's a fair bit of work to do, having to stuff around etc, but what do ya reckon? would it be worth the effort. I don't think it's that obsurd, the parts are coming really cheap (he owes me), it's just the time (I'm content to plod along at the moment, so I'm enjoying playing in the shed).......

After a bit of welding & grinding, this was the result....

Gee that looks all right. 3mm isn't very thick. Have you got any bracing in the cavity?

nice work! very neat.
3mm is plenty strong. That is all ARB use for their roo-killers.
Did you leave enough space for a little winch inside it?
Cool shed, I like the firewood stack :twisted:

There are 2 strengthening gussets on the inside, equally spaced, to try and hold some of the shape for when I hit stuff.
The I've temporarily parked in the old shed because my main work shed is currently filled with house stuff, as I'm doing a few `renevations'.
When I fit a whinch I'll toss the bar, as well as alot of the panelwork as all this talk of tube frames has got me keen to `have-a-go'.......after I finish stuffing around with the house modifications that is (or at least that's what I've told my Fiance'e......)
