Hi All ,This may be a stupid question but here goes anyway,On these new CVs there is no inner cir clip groove only the outer one,,so as i run the auto manual hubs i either have to get a groove machined into the CV or run them without cir clips, just wondered how anyone else got over this ,I could run Superwnch or Avm hubs as then i could use the outer groove but quite frankly i have found these to be crap..Any help would be great..
They will be releasing gu cv's with a breaking strain well over 13,000 lb.
Makes you wonder what will break upstream of the CV with a 13,000 lg breaking force.
CV's are a designed in weak point as they are relatively cheap and easy to access as opposed to diff centres and gearboxes etc.
It seem you CAN have too much of a good thing.

Apparantly the freewheeling manual hubs, are still the 'fuseable link' with cal CV's so just use them.. if you braught the cla CV's your obviously looking for strength, so no use using auto hubs which are crap....monstr wrote:Yep i Know what your saying ,I have not had a problem before with the auto/manual hubs as long as i manual lock them ,I would like to continue to use them as i find they are stronger than superwinch and avm but still act as a fuse and only take a couple of minutes to change..Cheers

So the auto hubs need the second circlip further down the spline to hold them together?
