hey
i have a Max air 11 siting here for my chopped gq. planing on mounting it behind the cab with an air tank, pressure valve etc.
is this a good idea?
is it ok for the max air to be exposed to water, dirt etc?
it wil be fairly protected as the cab will be on one side of it and the tank the other, but its stil goin to get wet and muddy.
comments and other options most welcome
cheers
matty

It's asking for trouble, though some here will argue with that!sidewayz wrote:is it ok for the max air to be exposed to water, dirt etc?
Start thinking about saving for the next one and where you will mount it, not saying 100% will die, to prevent what may kill this one, if it ever happens!
I'm the sharpest tool in the shed!
make sure you have it in a box of some sort cause my big red is on my engine bay and it now runs like crap!!!! when you put it in the box it should be ok but if it was me i would just open the lid when it was going to be on for long periods of time. e.g. pumping up tyres just to keep it as cool as possible. i would also consider running a breather hose into your cab so that the compressor can draw fresh cooler dryer air. cause other wise its just drawing hot air from inside the tool box.
