I am lead to believe the gearbox are the same, but the bell housing are different? and rb 30 and rd 2.8 are different,

im lead to believe the bellhousings are the same, but with small differances... like starter is 3 bolt on diesel not 2 like petrol.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

and there are different bellhousings too.. I bought one off here for diesel auto, and it was the "small" one, of course mine needed the bigger one.

just wondering cos i am petty atm but wanna swap to deile so i can run oil
but also considering gas.. well dule fule

Have done two TB42 to TD42 conversions and used the original bell housing both times

mate go the diesel far as i know in a manual the bell housing is the same sept for the starter motor just dosent have a bolt hole where it needs it thats the tb42 to td42 i looked into this myself when i had the patrol,

stick with diesel because as far as i can see gas will be 90 odd cent soon
driving up to brisbane i was seen it for 89cent a L
