Air intake/filtering 60 Series

Post by PeterInSa »

On another Forum I read that Patrols? have some form of Foam? Filter in the air pick up prior to the normal air filters.(?= from memory)

Question I have a HJ61 does this vehicle have any pre filter type of thing in the air pick up in the radiator mudguard area. I clean/change the convential Airfliter on a regular basis but have never followed the pick up pipe down to where it picks up air. Any blockage here (foam pad blocked with dust) due to the last 15 years on dusty roads could lessen my power and Km/Lt.

no, there is nothing else. the 60 has a cyclone action in the fiilter drum so big stuff never hits the filter.
