Hi defmac,

I think LRA are about $190 per ball. It's not that hard to do yourself. Just depends how much your time is worth vs. learning something new vs. what tools you have vs. what tools you want, etc, vs. their time and tax deductability.

I did mine myself using tools I had - drill press, grinder, welder (yes I welded up the slots). Took a day and taught me a lot.......... about a lot of RR things.) Worked out the slot req'd from data from this forum, and went for it.

The thing about this mod is that you feel it nearly every second when driving when you've done it after a lift. Mine was already lifted when I bought it and I hated the way it handled on the highway.

If you want to know how good this going to be afterwards, put about 300kg in the back and get out on the highway around some bends.
Puts your caster back in the ballpark.

good luck, DL

I sent mine to LRA . I just told them bumpstop clearances and they worked out the rest. I got them done at the same time I was getting vented brakes fitted , while things were apart and all. Got them back and bolted them on , all to easy really.

Cheers

If you need new swivels anyway they are available from Paddocks, castor corrected, I think they are the teflon coated ones.
