I've just dropped a 1.6 MPFI motor into my Sierra and am looking at making a snorkel up. I'm basically looking at running the pipe from the throttle body into an inline fliter, out the body and up the A Pillars. Now my question is where to put the Airflow Meter. Is it best behind the filter, next to the throttle body, somewhere in between, or even before the filter? Most stock vehicles put the AFM directly behind the filter or airbox, I'm guessing there is a reson for this? I vaugley remember hearing something about better throttle response the closer the AFM is to the TB, but I could be making this up...
Hints, tips, suggestions?
