ALL of the 2.8L diesels (GQ and GU) had 4.62:1 ratios, the GQ and GU RD28T used the same drive line (Engine, Gearbox and Diffs). the only difference between the two was the GU got a Electronic Injection pump (so you can chip them) and it had an intercooler added.

All wagons sold in OZ had H233 diffs front n rear (small one)....most leaf sprung utes (GQ) had H260 diff in rear (big mutha) and H233 in front.
Apparently some overseas markets have the big diff in wagons behind the bigger motors ....now that would be nice hey.

all GU 2.8's have the Small H233B diffs, same as GQ's. the drive line on a GU was the same as GQ, just using the wider diffs that the GU have. the centers are the same between GQ and GU 2.8's no difference, u can swap them to your hearts content

no same gearbox, just different shifters, they are according to the manual the same FS5R30A transmition, same as what was in the GQ 2.8L TD and 3.0L Petty

Nissan decided to do a bit of recycling on the 2.8L engine :)

so do i ;)

no gas on mine just petrol..
i just dont understand why everyone bags the tb45 so much..
if i can keep up with a standard camrydoor up to 100k then it cant be too bad..

maybe everyone that thinks they are slow havnt changed their ratios to suit larger tires :? :?

yes well ratio's are the next thing on my to buy list..! im only running 33's,12.5 but when i park next to a stock patrol i can understand why they slow the thing down abit! They dwarf the standered tyres..

Also was driving round on premium yesty(felt rich so i filled up) and was giving it a boot full everywhere i went and was surprised..lol Went like the clappers!! If only gas was as quick..
