There should be a plate on your firewall which gives the ratios.
I thgought 4.2 GQ's were usually 4.1 and mavericks 3.9??

My Maverick was a 4.2 Petrol originally. Come factory fitted with 4.11's.

auto or manual?

Auto have 4.375:1

manual will have either 4.11:1(most likely) or 3.9:1 (thats with mavericks and some Patrols).
