looking at buying these 2nd hand 4.11's does anyone know of their maker, i'm not up to speed on me dif gears...
info as sent buy seller.......
the only 'trade mark' seems to be a lowercase g and below that a lowercase d...
I understand they were supplied by MaxiDrive with the diffs
they are marked 4.11
I have had them sitting in the shed for 12 months, before stripping them off the Maxidrives
They served one winch challenge event on a Bush Rangie winch challenge truck. I was told that they had done 3500ks. The diff man who removed them and setup my Maxidrives said they were still like new, the axles and diffs were all in A1 cond. So that probably places them at 3 years old.

who makes these 4.11's?
Moderator: Micka
From what i know Maxi Drive used to supply diff gears made in Spain, but when i was looking i could not locate any in spain. I purchased my 4.11 gears from Great Basin Rover in the states who dealt with Maxi Drive on a number of products. Mal might have sourced them from GBR. Are the fronts reverse cut? The markings should indicate the match pair between the Crown Wheel and the Pinion. I cannot remember if there were any other markings but Grimace has a set not installed if you want to find out.
Hope this helps.

Mate mine just have an E inside a 3d image of a Crown Wheel followed by a number (build number).def90 wrote:cheers grimace, its beer olclock for me now to, in the trusty shed aka 'church'
where and how much were yours if u don't mind me asking?
Stikman sorted out my purchase as a group buy through the GCLRO (Gold Coast Land Rover Owners) Club.
The price was around the 1100 dollar mark, Stikman could prob elaborate further on cost.
