Brake line makers.
Anybody recomend a mobile service that does brake lines in Sydney? (Auburn) Apparently Enzed etc won't do brakes. Taking the car to them will be a PITA and taking a few parts at a time seems like a bigger PITA. I need to get flexi lines made as well as hardlines and brakets, most parts are metric but some aren't...If I have to go to a shop and explain things 100 times it's going to shet me.

I bought a flaring kit for about $60 that does all the steel brake line flares. It works like a champion. Then I just go to the local brake joint to buy all the fittings and steel line and make them up myself. For the flexible ones the same guy makes them up too. Aparantly there arnt many machines around that do the flexible brake lines. He reckons there are only two machines in Brisbane. These must be a few of them in Sydney. You just got to ring around until you find someone that actually has a machine.
And you are right Enzed wont make them here either.

Pirtek will make them on their premises, but i'd have to take the car there, this is a hassle with no rego and no brakes.
The Big Balls ones are made commercially in quantity, they won't do one off jobs.
I've got one of those flaring tools, but I'd rather not find out the painful way why you're not supossed to make them yourself. Bsides the flaring is the cheap part.
I started the back and forth to the brake joint process today....I could do without the agro. It goes like this:
"mate I need to join these two together etc etc"
"whats it off?"
"It's a suzuki, but it's modified, those are scout calipers "
"They're not suzuki calipers, you've got the wrong calipers"
"I know they're not, are you listening? these are what's fitted, its modified, otherwise I wouldn't need custom lines would I?"
" So you dont have any suzuki calipers?'
"nope, these are what is fitted"
"Why don't you use the suzuki fittings?"
" they don't freakin fit "
" hmmm, this metric fitting is really making a mess of this non metric thread"
Repeat this conversation slightly varied about 20 times with assorted peanuts at the same counter.
It's been a long day.
