Swivel bearings

Post by loopy31 »

Anyone know a good way, ie bush mechanic tip, assume no shed, vice etc... to remove smashed remains of swivel bearing off the lower hub stub that they sit on?
Cheers

I've had the same problem. I can remember somehow using two bricks to support the stub them using a screwdriver/chisel to smack it off.

Lump of wood, big hammer an a cold chisel
Once its off a bit of patience an a file to clean up stub as often when the bearing gets to this stage the end of the stub has sustained a bit of damage
