Hi folks, dunno that this is the right section for this, but...
Just wondering how I'd go about getting another alarm remote for my car.
It's a factory fitted alarm. When I got the car ('00 Grand Vitara) the bloke I bought it off had only one remote.
(sorry, crappy photo)
It's a pain when the missus needs to move my car when I'm out or if I lose it etc. It'd just be easier with another remote.
Is there aftermarket things you can 'tune' to the right frequency or would I need to pay through the nose to get a suzuki factory remote?
I'm yet to do any research on-line and got home too late to call a suzuki dealer.
My knowledge in this area is very limited, any help appreciated!
Cheers,
Pete

That is a Vision brand aftermarket remote pictured. They supply remote systems that are fitted in Australia with the brand of the car on the remote. Autobarn stores stock Vision products. I googled vision but only came up with Steves car alarms as a Vision stockist.
Good Luck.

These are generally rolling code remotes so one off the shelf will work but it will need to be programmed to suit your car. I found this link for Vision so you could contact them but I think they may only deal with the trade directly so they may be able to refer you to an installer/store in your area.
