budget suspension swap?

A lot depends on what you want to spend and what your going to use it for. You need to plan ahead and stick with it - poor choices for your future use will cause you to waste money. My opinions.....
Shocks
If its for road use only then Pedders do some but wouldn't recommend them for offroad use
ToughDog are good all rounders and more expensive but last well
Bilstein are as good as they come IMO but are expensive - you get what you pay for ( $1000 Retail )
Feroza rear shocks are very critical to a reasonable off road ride, springs and shocks need to be well matched to prevent "interesting" handling
Rear Springs
Personally I don't think Ferozas work well with heavy rear spring rates, they get very "hoppy" in the rear on rough roads already ( good shocks help ).
If you can't get second hand aftermarket ones ( and I'm the only person I've heard of the has them ). then I'd have the old ones reset. If you want some extra lift then you can use extended rear shackles ( illegal ) or do a body lift.

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
