i am in the process of making a kit for my lux at the moment. using a magna rear caliper cos its quite compact and making the disk. alloy adapter plate about 12mm thick looks as tho it should offset the caliper the right amount

i was going to make the rotor out of 12mm plate, bore id for output shaft, turn thickness to 8mm, down to a step to locate tailshaft. sandwich it between the output shaft and tailshaft.

Hmmm....this is interesting stuff. Our old 40 series troopy had the drum brake on tranny setup, and it never looked like giving up. But the 80, its another story. POS internal drum in disc handbrake, they NEVER work properly.

I would be mighty interested to see if someone makes a "kit" for the 80
