Hi mate,

Its most probably the seals that wipe across the knuckel surface on the ends of the front diff. Try put a bit of grease on the ball shaped things on the ends off the diff, and see if it makes a difference.

I know when my seals were on the way out it made the same noise, i replaced the wiper seals, and she was all good. The grease will tell you if it is that seal or not.

Good luck.

don't forget the steering shaft to the box only runs on nylon bushes, when these dry out similar things happen.

Check your univeral joint, may notbe the issuebut you don't want this failing. Could also be the steering box, I have one that feels as rough as guts to turn.

If the grease fixed it,

Maybe consider buying some new wiper seals for that joint. They come with two rubber and two felt seals.

Good work.

the seal kits called a "ball swivel seal"

i sell them at work for RRP $30+ gst each side. dont pay any more than that.

i can airbag them to you in perth (me in newcastle) at that price (working on you purchasing two seals)

also those seals come in the swivel hub kit (contains two of above seals. 4 swivel hub bearings (japanese) and 2 other seals i think)

again i sell these for RRP $95 + gst, + frieght.

just letting you know so you dont get ripped off
