GQ box to MQ transfer
Any body done this mod before ????
Any body got pics of the back of the GQ box of the GQ transfer where it bolts to the box?
I think they are the same bolt pattern but the pics I have aren't clear enuff and I dont need to gamble on spending the $$$ to find out it is a different pattern.
Also what is the output spline size...IE how many splines are cut into the output shaft ?
I know that all the petrol/diesel boxes and transfers are interchangable for the 80 - 87 MQ series but have no knowledge of the GQ boxes.

The rear drive shaft on a GQ is central while the MQ is offset to the drivers side.... helps to line things up !

it would prob be ok on a stocker MQ but with the amount of castor i have down, to move it over to the left would be suicide on the uni's, and vibration would be a problem too i think.

I have heard this allot, the only reason I am adding my 2 cents is that alot of Zuk owners are running hilux rear diffs for added beef. about 1 in 10 seem to have issues with the vibrations etc about the smae number who have issues with vibrations with spring overs ...
The shaft does not care what plane it operates on, sure it may cause a slight "corkscrewing effect" and try to lift the T/case a bit (as the mounts are designed for a slightly differing plane)
How long is the rear shaft on the MQ .. and with a GQ box and case wont it be alot shorter ???? (rear drive shaft that is) ..
