Cheap MAFs

Post by Rovernaut »

Just thought I'd pass on this.
My 5am Maf was stuffed, and I've been down the Reco way a couple of times but at $550 a pop and a couple of back fires in the LPG ruining them it gets expensive.
I ended up looking on ebay and found a guy in UK that has new ones for $136 AUD delivered! yep thats right, (48 GBP + 16 GBP postage) converts to about $132 AUD delivered.
I ordered one and it arrived in 1 week.
They are a generic brand, probably from a Shanghai based automotive manufacturer ( i did a bit of research).
It is an exact copy of the 5AM and it works a treat. I have no connection with this guy, and am only passing it on if it can help you guys.
the ebay user name is.

Yep I know, $1200 for a new one, $550 reco.
But I stress the one I purchased is probably Chinese made , but it works a treat, and the QC is very good too! No rough workmanship. And considering that most diodes, and computer chips are made in Taiwan and China any way and that the Mafs only have solid state components, a wire and the rest is just a cast body, and for the price I could by a couple of spares.
