Was wandering if it is adviseable to trim the rubber bumpstops on the front suspension of d22 navara to get more travel.I was told this by a suspension guy at the 4wd show.

as a general rule cutting bumpstops is a no no, don't know about your navara but id be even less game to do it on an IFS ie: binding CV joints cracked spring mounts, { torsion bars on d22? ] binding steering arms, shocks bottoming out, tyre clearance, binding wishbone balljoints are some possible issues. And in my experience alot of salesman don't know at the front that they're alive at the back. But having said that getting more wheel tuck is a cool way of gaining wheel travel

No don't do it.

Your bumpstops are pretty small as it is!

If you want more travel from your D22 IFS, look towards the Americans for the range of kits they have which allow you to lift the front towards the sky and get some reasonable travel out of it as well.
