OME Vs Calmini strut swap

Post by Squik »

Okay... at the moment Oscar Le X-90 has a Calmini strut plus a 2" spacer in the front, as well as all the arms and drop brackets do-dads. Front coils have already been swapped out with Tough Dog gear.

I have some OME 40mm oversize struts to swap out, what else do I have to do? I've worked out that I will *maybe* have to flip the strut mount (front could come down a few mm anyway), but will any other Calmini gear have to be removed/swapped out back to standard gear?

You can swap in the OME struts on their own and the total droop will be a little less than you currently have now or you can swap in the OME's with a strut mount flip and it will be about the same or you can swap in the OME's with the Calmini strut spacers but no strut mount flip and you will have even more droop than you currently have which is what I have done. Some say this will put the CV's at or past their max operating angle but I never had one fail. The only potential issue is your camber and that may or may not need addressing with some camber bolts.
