Most of the big parts places should have them, try the ones in Warwick. If ya like mail order motorsport connections in sydney are cheap on all safety gear.

Got my harnesses for the rally car from the UK

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk was the cheapest (and where I bought)

and you could also try http://www.rallynuts.co.uk

Worked out to be half the price of buying in Australia however these are FIA harnesses so perhaps the alternative you need isn't that much cheaper here but worth a look.

I just got a set from these guys. They were quick and easy, took about 2 minutes to order, pay and get them shipped to Overkill...

Sorry to hijack, but just a quick question, do you guys bolt your harness to the floor or to a cage. I only ask as I dont have a cage yet, and Ive been told by the Revolution racegear guys not to bolt it to the floor, as it can crush your spine in the event of a roll over.

From the Revolution Racegear site.
Important Fitting Hints

Never fix your harness in the area shown as ‘NO’. If there were an accident the belts would hold the driver’s body, but break the seat with great risk to personal safety.

This is unless you have a bus bar fitted to your roll cage. Which is a bar that runs horizontaly between the L&R B pillar uprights on your cage at approx shoulder height. The belts then need to go over this bar before going to the floor.

Its a brave man that runs harnesses without a cage...

If you do roll without a cage and your in a harness when the roof crushes down, you are strapped in solid and cant go anywhere but squish.

With a standard belt you can slump over to one side and avoid the crushing roof.

Not that moving out of the way is necessarily a concious choice but with a harness there is nowhere to go.

Worth thinking about.

Im planning a harness soon too - although i WANT mine to break free during a very severe accident, as i intend to use the seatbelt for onroad and the harness purely to hold me in the seat offroad...

although a cage cant be a bad option in the end can it.... probably worth doing right the first time.
