Landcruiser 105 series unable to sync additional key?
Have purchased a cruiser but only had 1 key. Have purchased new key and had it cut but took it to Toyota who couldn't program the new key? They said the engine light also doesn't come on in the cruiser so maybe it's part of another problem? Has anyone come across this type of problem before? Cheers

A lot of the new keys don't have a chip in them, only good for a sper for opening the door by inserting it, i just got one cut and it works fine.

I think if there is no chip in the key it will not activate the immobliser.

Keys with a chip are about $130-$140 keys without are a lot cheaper.
if ya gona rev it, Chev it

IIRC you can only program a new key if the one that was in the Ignition previously is a " Master " or Primary key. You cannot program a new key if all you have is a "Sub" key.
