Auto pan on a GQ help

Post by Mick. »

I put a big dent in my Auto pan on my GQ at Tuff Truck this year and i'm wondering if the pan itself has oil galleries running threw it or I can just rip it off and straighten it up and put it back on? :?

I don't want to go ripping it off until I know wheather I can fix the old one or I have to chase up another one. I cant buy one at a wreckers because they only want to sell the whole box. :bad-words:

The auto also has a little whining noise when i put it in reverse which it didn't have before I wacked it but i'm hoping that will be fixed when I sort the pan out.

Any advise would be apreciated.

Cheers Mick.

Just watch your clearance to your filter if its too dented. if its too damaged it could restrict oil flow if its touching the filter.

While you're at it why don't you go to a synthetic fluid. It will cost a shit load more ie $200 plus but will last a lot longer ie 160,000k, cope's with heat better and will give a better gear shift.
I've used Redline in mine for several years and have had very very good results. Ultimately it will be cheaper than standard as you just change the filter at service times and reuse the fluid. BUT only if some muppet doesn't just dump it before you tell them to recycle it!!!!!! :finger:
