Oil leek

Post by magneto »

G day everyone.

I bought a second hand 2000 JLX jimny last month and now realized I have a
major oil leak.
The under belly is covered in oil.
I suspect a rear main seal but have no idea on how much $$$$$ I'm looking at.
Any idea on how much the seal is worth??? And Labour???
If to dear I might attempt on me own one weekend very shortly.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Brad.

genuine the seal would cost atleast 30 bux if not moore as it would be directional and silicone or viton in material

labour would be about the same as doing your clutch and so i'm taking a stab at about 250 bux (working out at about 3 hours at $77 an hour)

easiest way is to call and ask though
