Post by hurricane »

well i have a 308, it will fully rebuilt, flat tops, ported l34 heads heads set up for gas. and so on.

its goin into my fj60 to turn the 35's.

any idea what cam i should run? was thinking a crane 276 or 286?

what gas system would be best? was thinking gas research twin throttles, any idea what size would be best?

talk to crane, tell them what your doing and they will be able to give you the right cam, what to set it at and the right timing to run. if its strate gas get a bosh dizzy (black block) or any elec dizzy (no points) and get it re curved makes heaps of difference.

another ting to know is most good cam places don't cost much more( maybe $50) to get a custom cam grind then to buy 1 out of the box and will suit better

I run a 355 stroker, Flat tops, alloy rods, girdle, B cast heads with port/cc'd big valves, triple springs, 1.65 rollers, Edelbrock manifold, Impco set up, Come Racing CSBH501 cam.
This set up is very good on economy and has bulk power
Soon to be twin 425 Impco mixers & twin converters
Cheers
Andrew
