hey all
needing some advice on raising my 85 4runner
been looking at the snake racing website and i wanna start ordering some bits but abit unsure
so thought id ask
hey no harm in asking right?
first off i want to raise the 4runner.
so thinking
2in leafs *front/rear*
2in lift blocks
and maybe a 2in body lift
*with the bodylift on a 4runner how many blocks will i be needing?*
now since im fresh to doing this kinda thing i need the advice on what else i will need to purchase for the 4runner if im raising it this high
i know i will prob need ot extend my brake lines but anything else?
will i need driveshaft spacers
torgue rod?
extended shackles
etc???.
or am i still kinda in the safe zone?
also im looking at running 33's
ty for the advice/help in advance

Great choice for a rig .
Jason
cant really say yet haha but lets say beginner to intermediate maybe with a small bit of extreme thrown in to get the heart racing
was even thinking just a leaf/block lift with 33's
and maybe to the cab lift down the track or scrap it totally lol
I have 2" lift in my 84 4runner and run 33's. Inside the front guards underneath the plastic there is a raised seam. You will catch the front wheels when turned on compression if you don't either bash the seam flat or cut them out.
Other than that, great choice of car! Enjoy!

First question - what size tyres do you want to run. You are adding a fair bit of lift to it. Oh, and lift blocks (between spring and axle) are Grimace
Do a search through the Toyota section, and the members section. As yo usaid your are a beginer, so are probably going to look at 33's or so to start with. Why not do a Rears up front swap, and IFS rears. High steer, track bar and then modify the guards to clear the tyres. This will get you a stable low rig, with plenty of flex and a great start to seeing where you want to go next for not that much $$ really (as long as you can do it yourself).
