Military landy tyres !

Post by LandyLad »

I have found a place I can get Goodyear custom grip 750x16 tyres which are equ. to 33's new for $50 each on the north side of brissy. I have found that these tyres are excellent offroad but do make a bit of noise on the highway ! they were used on the landy's by the military and all are ex. government bought through auction !! If any of you landy owners are interested that is !!
If it aint broke, dont fix it !!

i thought the army used Olympic Steel trek tyres on there vechicles replacing the old bar treads. ive got olympics on my 110 1/2 ton army trailer. i also know where you can get a heap of these tyres in the range of 30 - 60 bucks on the northside of brisbane, try the goodyear tyre shop at caboulture, he's got a load of them second hand, plenty of tread and there in good nick too.

The Extra Grips are a much harder compound than the army Olympics, the army bar treads work OK on sand, the Extra Grips etc do not but last a lot longer. Keep a set of Road Grippers for the beach, better yet get some disco rims and some 265/75's, maybe even 255/85x16's
