speedo/transfer case

Post by jono_785 »

Hi guys, while i was trying to work out whats wrong with my speedo i stuck my finger in the transfer case where the speedo cable goes and turned the drive shaft. initially it was not turning however now it is... there were also metal filings around... my question is whats there in the transfer case and do i just need to change the oil or do i need to pull apart the whole transfer case?

Give up on the speedo mate. They are always going to be a weak point on the zook. Use a gearing calculator to work out what revs you are doing at different speeds or sit next to your mate & check his speed. Or use a GPS, this probably the most accurate way.

Unless you are getting it passed in the pits....

Well good luck with it mate.

Don't mean to be so negative but mine worked for a few weeks and then stopped. Atleast it passed our RWC....
