12.5inch tyres on a 8inch rim

Post by GQ4.8coilcab »

im already running 35x10.5 simex on my beadlocked 8s and i want to go to 36x12.5s or even trepadores but im worried that the 8inch rims will be two small. Any body running 12.5s on an 8inch rim?

I run 14" wide IROKs on 15x8 at 3psi, no worries.

Looking at the Fourby's site they recommend 8.5"-11" rim for the 36x12.5x16" ET2
This would probably come from the tyre manufacturer recommendations.

It's illegal to run a smaller rim width than the tyre manufactures specifies.
Of course if your running larger than legal tyres it's a bit of a mute point.

wouldnt be an issue, especially if your beadlocked.
ive been down to 10psi in a 315 on a 8" with no beadlocks also drove the 75km home with them like this

4inch lift, king springs, efs and procomp shocks
315/70R16 cooper ST's
