Yes, they did. I gave up trying to find one at the wreckers- even tried interstate etc. Lots of wreckers claimed to have them until it came time to produce the goods.

Is now the time to tell you I had 3 LSD's at one stage ?? - one in the Feroza, one in a spare rear Diff & another in the new 5.57:1 Rear Diff I bought from Toyhatsu Spares in Melbourne.
Ended up selling 2 of them as LSD Centres only for $500 each
For those of you even thinking about doing the Front Lincoln Locker - stop thinking & JUST DO IT !!!!!!! - easily the best "Bang for your Offroad Buck" you can do for the Feroza - doesn't affect on road at all & is very drivable off road - plus anything you can put a front wheel on you will climb Once you go locked, you won't go back.....

Not too sure about the rear... would tear shit out of tyres wouldn't it? At $250 a tyre it can prove to be an expensive mod.

welding the rear is NOT a good idea if its your daily driver as well... BAD IDEA! you'll put alot of strain on the driveline and specifically the rear every time you make a turn. your bound to break something way prematurily. not to mention the wear and tear on your truck. go for an lsd at the very minimum.

Auto lockers dont make for that much extra wear on tyres. Having said that, quality tyres are also needed. Having run a Detriot locker in the rear for about the last 6 years, I think I can comment on the subject. I bought a set of Olympic Overlanders once, brand new. By about 15000km, the rears were below half left, but the fronts were not much better. I now run BFG A/T's, the set on at the moment is about 2 years old, still with much more than half left. Mileage on them, god only knows, but would be around the 30-40000 km mark. It is my daily driver, and gets played reasonably hard most times. Some chunks missing, one repaired staking, but very good overall. Ill be getting them again, and getting BFG muds for my second rims when I can afford them.
Mud makes excellent toothpaste.
Dear BumdyRumandCoke
Hey dude just curious which companies makes detroit locker for the Rocky F85 now a days? Coz i'm worried that my 15 year old locker might give up in the near future. I havent a slightest clue where my dad sourced his locker back then.
Hope u can be a saviour for my Rocky..... Certainly cannot live without a Detroit Locker.

Is a locker reserviceable?
I dont dare open the diff.
Coz i noticed that some ppl rebuild their lsd, then again they have the kit for it.
Any idea what normaly goes 1st in a locker?
the Sun and Planetary gears?
I wonder if Lock-Rite makes a locker for the rocky coz i've got one fitted on my Hilux.
ARGH pardon me for asking silly questions as i'm cranky that i've parted my car in the workshop for routine servicing, plus the stupid locker acts up on the road. Sometimes the torque distributes to 1 wheel only when i accelerate on a straight line and then it locks.
Sigh.......
Then again 15 years old on a rocky that goes off roading often is pretty punishing. Sigh.....
Pics of my crapy rig will be out shortly.
Damn i need a scanner soon.

Dangerous Dave wrote:How hard is it to weld the front diff in a Roza? I've got a welder and when i try i can almost weld. Whats involved or where can i find info.
I'm the boss need the info... won't somebody throw me a freakin bone here.
hmmm
Dave
Although I have never done it... and I am strongly thinking about it...
The best person to answer would be (I think) Mike H or Murray who I believe have done the mod, but from reading the page Mike used to have on feroza mods and looking at the pics of his welded front, the weld was considerable, having been done either with an arc or oxy (I cant tell) but there needs to be a tremendous amount of strength in the weld so I don't think its something you wanna do unless you are certain you can get it right.
If nobody has replied by the time if finish work this arvo I'll hunt out the fotos on my home computer. When you see the foto of the gears welded together you'll get the idea...
On boooooost!!
Thanks for that guys, but it all looks a little on the dodgy side to me. I've got a proper mig welder but i don't know.
Wouldn't the diff be out of balance. Besides my mate came up wit another idea. Has anyone heard of a "minispool" They are a metal cylinder with splines at each end and holes going through the centre for the pins. It basically replaces the spider gears inside the diff and locks it up good and strong.
Now who can tell me how many splines are on a front and rear axles in the diffs. I'm really keen for this now so if anyone knows could you post it on here asap! As you would think that and 25 spline minispool would fit any 25 spline diff! and they pretty cheap around about $100.
Murcod, you were saying something bout you sent some one a owners manual or service manual for a feroza. do you have this on the computer or is it actually in book form as if it is a document on the computer i'd be interested in a copy!
Cheers
