Am doing a fwd 20v 4age engine into a rwd sierra conversion and want to know where I can find a thermostat housing with an inlet, outlet and one or two sensor inputs that is totally seperate from the engine block.
I know they exist on some older corollas I think but want to know if there are any aftermarket suppliers that can supply. Bursons and Repco don't have and completely remote thermostat housings on their books.
There are other ways of working out the cooling system for a rwd config but it alters the flow of water through the head; something I want to keep stock if possible.
any ideas?

one little bit of advice as well. is most people run the water in this system backwards meaning your intake charge is going to be very warm....
Yeah I'm on toymods and have searched all through there but most mods to the cooling system seem to run the water backward through the head.
THis can't be good in the long run...I'm trying to keep the flow going in the original direction....hence asking around for other alternatives to keep the stock water flow design running through the head.
THanks for the heads up tho!
THe 20v is also a little different to the 16v that most people have. THe water pump assembly is much better thought out so I don't want to stuff around too much with it.
My issues is that the thermo housing sticks out the back of the block too much and will hit the fire wall. My solution is to get rid of the housing cap and put a blanking plate over it ala...

Then get a hole tapped into the side of the original thermo housing and get a remote thermostat housing welded on. This way it all sits under the dizzy out of the way and won't hit the firewall plus I get to keep all my sensors and heater outlets coming out of the thermo housing which is bolted to the back of the head. SHould work out ok I think.
