Vitara Reduction

Post by monkeyplex »

Hi guys,

I've had a bit of a look around, but is there a transfer case reduction gear for Vitaras? I just want to lower my low range as 31's are running away down hill, and I have to go way too fast when rock crawling.

Cheers

Ok, I had a look at the calmin page. Did you have to import them from the states? And are they really that expensive?

How have people gone fitting these up in regard to re-enforcing the transfer case, mounts, etc. Is there something similar to a Roctoy ring available? Has anyone installed them and broken a t-case?

With the design of the original Vitara cross member I don't thing a different one is needed pretty strong design.
Using original mounts as well.
