Well the alternator in my one litre sirra is stuffed now. Now i dont really want it replace it with another 1ltr alternator.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1.0 ltr sirra?
Is the 1.0 ltr sirra internally or external regulator?
I have a feeling its a pretty simple setup one wire to the battery, an earth and other to work the light on the dash.
Now i was reading this topic
http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/phpBB2/vi ... p?t=116388 and it seems like "Gwagensteve" had a 1.0 litre motor in his sirra from what i can see. I take it that plug that was bridged is just hiding under the dash some where?

Yep, but I never ran the ford alternator on the 1.0, only on my 660.
the jump wires in Christovers picture are correct. It's under the passenger side of the dash attached to a metal box bolted to the firewall.
Yes, the L terminal goes to the light, and B terminal to ig+
Go for it - the Ford alternator is a good mod.

I found a spare 1.3 alternator. Now i have bolted it up and it charges. So that part is all good. I just have no idea what the 3 plugs on the back should be connected to. Because the 1.0 only had two wires coming out of it.

OK i have got the 1.3 alternator all bolted in and wired up. It is charging the battery at 14volts. And when ya hit the head lights etc it drops for a bit and builds back up.
My only concern is that looking at what wires were crossed in this pic from another topic.
Mine is nothing like that. So i didnt bother crossing any just left it pluged in.
So my question is:
Should the alternator drop back to 12volts once the battery is fully charged?

My 1.0 had 3 wires at the alternator as it had an external regulator. I dont know why your 1.0 only has 2.
Do you have the external regulator located up under the passenger side??
Did the 1.3L alternator just plug straight in? Was is a round or a square plug?
i though the 1.3's had a round plug and the 1.0's a 3 pin squre style plug?
Also voltage shoud not brop when the battery is charged, it should remain around the 13.8-14.4 volt mark.

it had two wires coming out of the back of the alternator Plus a big one that bolted onto the side of the alternator that went to the battery.
I looked pretty hard for the external regulator that should be in the passenger side footwell but couldnt find it.
Ok so it is fine for the battery to be always getting 14 volts. Just didnt wanna go for a drive and find a melted battery under the bonnet.
