MQ MK chassis/body mounts Q's

Post by Hoppy11 »

I am about to put GQ body rubbers on th MK chassis, the MK chassis mounts have a cup washer that the rubber sits in, which I dont need cause the GQ rubbers are heaps bigger. The thing is the cup washers are removable but the two at the front are stuck to the mount (i remembered this from when the body was removed ages ago) does anyone know if these are easy to remove. I'm just getting info before I start unbolting the body to slip the new rubbers in.

Any info would be great.
Cheers

Assuming the MQ and MK are the same both my Nissan Service manual (MQ) and Nissan Parts book show the cup washer separate from the chassis in the exploded diagrams and listed as a separate part. So my guess is that they will come out with the judicious use of a cold chisel.

Only the lwb versions have two pairs of cup washers (located under the door pillars). The shorties have only one set (also located under the door pillar).

I can't remember whether the cup washers came out easily on mine when I gave it a small body lift last year.

Sorry can't be more helpful

That sounds more like it, I remember the cup washers at the front were factory "stuck there". the rest just sat there, I will smash em
