will a 60 series center fit into my 80 series cruiser rear diff

is it just a matter of unbolting both centres and bolting the 60 centre into the 80 housing? cause im doin this and was told i would have to put my locker in the 80 centre cause the 60 centre wont bolt in to the 80 housing

Yes it should bolt straight in, some earlier diffs have different carrier bearings to later models, but I don't know if it will affect your locker installation.

the locker from your 60 will fit an 80 but you should only swap the air locker hemisphere only,not the entire centre.
that way you will be using the newer gearset and bearings from the 80 instead of the old stuff from the 60.
