anyone replaced the rear vision mirrors on their GU?

Post by Farva »

was out in the scrub on the weekend and managed to lose my lefthand side rear vision mirror on my GU, dunno how it fell off. Theres no damage to the door mount for the mirror so that was the good thing about it i guess. Anyway went to the wreckers today and he said a new one was going to cost me around the $300 mark. Is this bullsh*t or is NISSAN being a greedy ^%#&^$#!. Its not power mirrors or anything and its certainly not made of gold!

Anyone here had one replaced? If ya have how much did it cost to get a new one?

Mine is the 2 piece mirror with that extension that runs on the bottom of the mirror.

Cheers

I'm guessing you have a ute with manual adjust mirror if you have the extension piece.

The answer is OVER $300 dollars to replace as Nissan only sell them as a complete assembly (just for a change  ).

I busted mine off (at the base) but kept the broken bits and after hearing how much it was going to cost, I was able to repair it.

300 is a f*cking joke for 1 mirror! :finger: yeh i should have mentioned its for a ute. think my best bet is to go out wheeling where i went on the weekend and see if i can find it otherwise keep my eye open on the forums and ebay and see if i can pick one up cheap. not like its made of gold or anything
