feedback on the 3.0 st patrol direct injected

Post by blown26paj »

i am looking at purchasing a new nissan patrol st 3.0 direct injected i know the early 3.0 had its issues. the salesman tells me they have fixed them i would like to get some feedback from the people that own and drive them both mechanicals aswell as the rest of the vehicle itself.I would be using the vehicle for touring and also towing a small offroad van 1800kgs. Thanks

haven't heard of any CRD patrol blowing pistons. however they do seam to have a fuel usage problem. some suck the juice big time while others do not. no idea of why as of yet.

Overall 2003 on they seem to be pretty reliable.

I have not really heard any problems of late, but the fact the 3lt in general has such a bad reputation (and for good reason) now means the resale value on it will be pathetic when you go to sell it later on, even if these later models are perfectly reliable.

May be something to think about....
