buy a pyro.

install it.

(install it before the turbo or kiwibacon will have a hissyfit and cry)

ta-da, the guesswork is taken out of adjusting your fuel.

is the probe before or after the turbo?

if before, 650 - 700 is reasonably safe. if after, 600. opinions ill vary wildly. personally I would set it up for higher, then on cold days and/or at low altitude you can get the best out of it, and in more regular conditions, drive it to the gauge and back off when it gets uncomfortable.

when u mean be for the turbo u mean it the dump pipe area.witch is where mine is.i got told if i put it above the turbo and the probe got to hot it could melt and go throw the turbo and stuff it

if i read your post correctly the motor now has 480000km on it and you want to increase the fuel?
do you want to blow it up?

Ive been playing with my max volume fuel adjustment too., and it is real touchy....and real hard to set right if you dont get the proper spanners, you loose sight of the screw...and dont know where your at....1/4 turn will make a big difference., try less than that first...be prepared to take it out and replace the oring if it starts leaking like mine did...

ps...another thing that it will upset is idle speed, so u need to adjust that back afterwards, as the max volume screw is adjusting max volume right across the range. When the motor is hot, free rev it up to the governor, and you will notice it will rev over the redline as it adjusts that too.
