CAN I DRIVE IT 2X4 FOR NOW?

Post by RICKSTER »

HELLO!
I HAVE A 1994 DAKOTA 3.9 WITH A SICK FRONT DIFFERENTIAL.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO DRIVE IT 2X4 UNTIL I FIND A DIFF?

I'm not sure what a dakota is, but you should be able to remove the front tail shaft and CV joints if it is constant 4X4 and lock the centre diff lock and it will be fine. If it is part time 4X4 with manual hubs, leave te transfer leaver in 2H and the hubs in FREE.
