Hilux auto locking hubs/transfer case

Hi all,Just wanting some info on auto locking hubs/transfer case.I'm thinking of putting my 308 & t700 out of my 92 hilux which has manual locking hubs into my 91 surf but not sure about the auto locking hubs/transfer case.Does anyone know if the surf transfer case will bolt up in place of the of the 92 model one.

The surf case(chain driven) will be diffrent to the one that was origanly in the lux(Gear driven) you had, now behing the t700 you have best bet keep it that way are you sasing the surf. i think you can use the free wheeling hubs on the surf hubs not 100% but.

Cheers for the reply,Just using the Surf for towing and camping mainly no serious off roading.I,ve got a landcruiser with 302 & C4 that i,m gonna turn into a buggy.Do you know if i can put my other transfercase into the surf and have a switch for the hubs or are they locked all the time.

IFS FWH's hubs are 27 spline & solid axel FWH's are 30 spline.

Surf transfer (chain driven) is different to the usual solid axel hilux transfer (gear driven).
Changing to gear driven, will loose the push button 4WD as does not have electric motor on rear of case to engage front drive. May also need to add a few sensors to make it work right.
If using the t700 should be able to get an adaptor to a gear driven transfer, never seen or heard of one for a chain driven one but anything can be done.
IMO the hilux gear driven transfer is stronger than the chain driven one, and hear a patrol transfer would be the best to handle heaps of grunt easily.

Surf's have fixed hubs from factory and use ADD (Automatic Differential Disconnect) to disengage the passenger side axel (passenger side axel is 2 pieces with vacume operated link) to link the front axel.
In factory spec CV's always spin and fitting FWH's reduces wear when on road (can unlock hubs).
