LT230 - what suffix

All,

1983 LT230, serial starting with 14D. Anyone know what suffix this would be?

As far as I am aware it is from an auto 1983 rangie. How or where could I confirm this?

This transfer is the one in question that I broke four years ago, and from it I asked you weird stuff like, does a bellhousing exist to go from a 200tdi to an LT85 box... :D
