Hilux fuel tank differences??

Post by thebrunks »

Hi can anyone tell me what is the difference in tanks between the following?
92 Model Xtra/Single cab (They use the same tank)
92 Dual Cab?
92 4 Runner?

I have 2 extra cabs with 130 Litre tanks & want to put one in either my Toyota Surf (Same as 4 Runner) or my dual cab.

Are the mounting holes the same for the tanks or are they physically a lot different?

Thanks

Russ

The runner having coil rear, has an recess on top at back in front of the drivers side rear wheel to fit around the upper control arm chassis mount.

I would think the utes (Single, Xtra and Dual cabs) would all have the same tanks and be different to the runner.

Have not had them side by side so don't know for sure.

Dual cab luxes run different long range tanks to single cabs not 100% certain on xtra cabs. Most dual cab long range tanks are up to 20 odd litres less than the single cabs

duel cab tank will fit all luxes but not sure on surf/4runner.

I know the single & extra cab use the same tank, I'm just not sure if the long range tank I have will fit my dual cab as it's in an extra cab!

Thanks
