Can we get some sort of a run down on it?? You're putting the horse before the cart in asking for competitors before releasing any information. What constitutes a team, costs, where and when is it etc. etc. etc?? I need to present all of this information to the Club's comp squad.

Tell us about it

What I take out that link is that I'm not the only one asking the same questions. It must be a guessing "comp" :D

Come on guys, lets get some real info out on this. I'll even put my hand up to help, I've been involved in promoting comps.

It will be a 2 day event with competition starting Approx 2pm on Sat 29th November, the first stage will be in the afternoon, the second stage will be at night under lights, the final 2 stages will be Sunday morning to finish by 1pm. Driving time will be around 25-30 mins to complete all 4 stages. All competitors will drive the first 2 stages, even if they break something they will be awarded points at that point on the stage, and can turn up for the next stage. Once out on or after the 3rd stage you will be out. Teams will be 2 cars with the major prize going to the first place team ($1000 so far, may go up), there will be individual prizes as well. Entry fees will be $100 per car, possibly a max of 3 teams per club, min 1 team. The rules for entry will be the same as woodpecker, one class. Rules and Regs will be out by the end of the week.

We wont be too harsh on flares and the like at scrutineering, just so long as there is some kind of mudgaurds.

As it all progresses over the next month we will keep you up to date on any info we have.

The first 10 clubs to enter will get to choose where they start, all teams from the one club will follow each other. The first 3 clubs are Kamikaze, ACT, All Coast.

Yes the entry fee has been set at $150 per vehicle, this is to cover the costs of having good shower / toilet facilities avaliable & to cover the increased prize money on offer .

I would like some feedback on whether we should run 2 classes, say under and over 35" tyres. We are getting a lot of inquiries about different cars with smaller tyres feeling they will have too much trouble. All the stages can and have been driven on 33" tyres, but they do much more packing etc to get through. At the moment all the stages have been driven by a hilux on 35's and a LWB Patrol on 37's. But we want your feedback, if you guys would like to see 2 classes then we will consider it.

Woodpecker (now toperi) has always been run with one class, dont see why it should change now. Having been involved in organising events in the past having two classes would be one more headache for the organisers.
