Is it possible to convert a 60 series cable locker diff centre to an electric locker like and 80 series??
If so, does anyone have any parts to do this...... (easier to mount switches and electrics than a cable.... )

you can buy the bits from toyota for the electric locker eg motor and motor housing but you could buy 2 arb's for what they will charge you and it still might take some adapting. the whole centre from an 80 may fit tho if the 60 locker axel splines suit

I can't imagine converting a 60 series cable locker to an 80's type as the diff casting is completely different. You could however rig up an ordinary electric solenoid to operate the cable diff though with a custom bracket and wiring. You could use a pneumatic one instead and keep telling yourself 'it's an air locker'
But i believe it is possible to fit an 80 series electric locking diff centre to a 60 with some cutting. You would also need the loom and relays to control it. But that is expensive.

You can put an 80 series locker in a 60 series diff with no probs as long as it was a cable locked diff - if not you have to do dome grinding - if you want to make sure buy an 80 series locking diff gasket and fit it to the housing. This is only for the rear though - the 80 fron locker is smaller and wont fit. but, an 80 rear locker will fit in the front of a 60 diff - you just need the long spline axles.
Cable lockers are better than e lockers in my opinion - owned both. Cable is simple - no electrics.
