1999 Troopy HZJ75RV What panels will fit?

Post by Mudbits »

Hi,
I have just purchased a 1999 Toyota Landcruiser Troop carrier HZJ75RV and it needs some replacement front guards, drivers and passengers doors and rear barn doors.
Can anyone tell me what other types of Landcruisers will have interchangeable panels?

Wouldn't a '99 model be a HZJ78RV? Something you'd want to clear up before buying anything anyway.

Yes it is a 1999 HZJ75RV Leaf sprung 1 HZ.
What i really would like to know is if panels and engine are the same in a HJ74 MWB such as the one in the photo below or any other older mid 1980's or 1990's Cruisers.

Front clip panels SHOULD fit. doors and barn doors aren't likely to fit. same lower half, but upper window frame section is likely to be different

im sure that 75 doors dont fit 78/79 but bundy doors will (curved vs angle top corner of window). 75 barn doors should fit a 79 rest of its different

if its a 75 the middys front end will fit so should the doors if its a 78 no such luck

My 75 troopy doors bolted straight up to my 78cab. Don't know about utes though

There are a lot of minor differences between 75 and 78 troopy cabs. swaps can be done but there a lot of niggly little fab jobs to do.

Mate, the front clip panels you will be able to source from any 75-79x cruiser troopy or ute.

your doors can come from any 70 series troopy, from 75 through to 78

you MAY be able to use front clip panels from some 73 series shorties

barn doors and rear panel repair sections can come from any 70 series troopy.

Barn doors from a 73 midi or shorty will NOT fit.
