hey all, was heading home from a bit of a play in the mud today, doing about 80 kays on the tarmac, when there was a bang and then a constant clicking noise.
pulled over, visual inspection shows nothing out of the ordinary.
the clicking sound is pretty loud (similar to the sound a vt commo makes when thrown into Park at 10kmh, or a something stuck in the spokes of a pushy) and is not heard when under throttle.
ive recently had problems with it jumping out of 4L and getting stuck in neutral (xfer), so i thought it might have *half jumped out* of 2H? but it didnt get stuck in neutral so i dunno
still have 2H, 4H and 4L.
im stumped.
drives fine just scary noisy.
any idea's on finding this problem?

transfer? help
Pull out the Jackshaft, between the gearbox and tcase, start the car and go through the gears (you wont go anywhere). If you can still hear the noise it's not the tcase.
It does sound like it's the uni's in the Jackshaft.
