navara lights

trying to conect a light beeper to my navara D22, to let me know when the lights are left on. Got a beper and have been told to conect it to the con power and the light fuse.... but doesn't work
Anyone got any ideas........................... :?:

I've always just used a cheap 12V buzzer and wired it between the instrument backlighting (or any source that's powered with the headlights) and the door switch. It does mean you will get buzzing anytime the lights are on and the door open, but it's simple.
